The face behind
Le Transport Modern
My name is Christophel Bongo. I am originally from Congo-Brazzaville, and I am the founder and owner of Le Transport Modern – Maine’s Community Ride Network. I am working to create an online platform designed to improve transportation access throughout the state of Maine. As a New Mainer who has made this state my home, I understand the importance of opportunity, support, and connection when adapting to a new community. These experiences have motivated me to build something that can truly make a positive impact on people’s daily lives.
With dedication and vision, I aim to develop a website that offers modern, reliable, and community-centered transportation solutions for those who need them most. I decided to start Le Transport Modern after witnessing the transportation challenges many Maine residents face—especially in rural areas where public transit is limited or unavailable. Every day, people struggle to reach work, medical appointments, school, grocery stores, and essential services because transportation options are scarce or unreliable. To address this problem, I designed a platform built around a two-step transportation system. The first step isa share-ride service, which brings together passengers traveling in the same direction, reducing costs and making transportation more efficient. The second step is a booking taxi
service, giving users the ability to schedule private, dependable rides whenever they need
direct or personalized transportation. It will be multilingual to improve accessibility and
Low-Income Ride Option .
Together, these two services create a flexible, accessible, and community-focused transportation network for people across Maine. My mission with Le Transport Modern is to provide a modern, safe, and convenient way for residents to stay connected and reach their
destinations with confidence. I am proud to build a company that reflects my personal journey, my values, and my commitment to improving transportation for everyone in the state of Maine.
